Redilight “lights up” with an awesome new website from Wolff Design

We sat down with Joel Mulvanney of Redilight (www.redilight.com.au) for a cup of coffee on Brisbane’s Southbank to talk about his website design and development journey with Wolff Design.

Tell us Joel what Redilight does and what’s its mission?

Redilight distributes solar panel LED lighting systems that capture free energy from the sun to efficiently power LED light fittings in the home or office. Our mission is to be recognised throughout the world as the benchmark for a truly energy efficient lighting system that is not reliant on the power grid.

How did you come to Wolff Design?

We had an existing website which was generating reasonable amount of business but my partners and I knew we had to invest in a new and more competitive website. We started the process with a marketing agency who was subbing out the website design to another developer but it became very obvious that to us the agency and the developer didn’t understand what we wanted. We decided we wanted to talk directly a specialist digital design agency based in Sydney and after some exhaustive research and talking to our business networks we were recommended to Wolff Design – which turned out to be the best decision we ever made! We met directly with Peter Wolff and his Studio Manager Mandy and right from the beginning they seemed to understand us and our product and we immediately felt comfortable they would deliver what we wanted.

What were you looking for Wolff Design to deliver in your website design?

We wanted them to create a new site to be more user friendly, functional and very easy for our trade customers to search and get information and pricing of our products. We wanted customers to see a bright and “sunny” site which reinforces what we sell – solar lighting! We also wanted an easy purchase platform. Above all we wanted to look like we were big company against our competitors.

Did Wolff deliver on their “promises”?

Wolff Design quickly came back to us after our initial meeting with concept page layouts and designs which we really liked. The Wolff team went off and started building the site which did take a bit longer than we anticipated mainly because of the inevitable and unavoidable small adjustments and changes needed to be made along the way. Very importantly for us and for anybody else building a new website, Wolff was in constant communication throughout its development, updating us and making us feel comfortable and “loved” all the way along. Yes, to answer your question, Wolff did deliver – over and above!

How is your new website performing?

The new website is so much better that our old site – it’s generating more traffic and we have increased our trade enquiries which is turning into improving revenues.

How likely are you to recommend Wolff Design?

I would have no hesitation in recommending Wolff Design to anyone in business, particularly for evolving businesses who need to create a new website.
